Christopher and Lisa met while working at a retail clothing store. Nearly seven years later, it was time for this couple to tie the knot, but first came the proposal.
Christopher took Lisa to Blue Mountain for a weekend. After dinner, the two headed back to the hotel and Christopher insisted that Lisa open the door. She walked into a room full of red roses, candles and champagne. As Lisa turned around, Christopher was down on one knee asking her to marry him. “I literally started screaming for about five minutes before Christopher could even pop the question,” recalls Lisa. “It was especially memorable because it was on December 21st, which also happens to be my parents’ wedding anniversary.”
As for the couple’s favourite wedding moment? It was by far their ceremony. “Christopher and I chose a specific ceremony called ‘Love Is’ which perfectly captured our relationship,” says Lisa.
Family is very important to both Christopher and Lisa, so they made sure to incorporate special family mementos from their parents and grandparents throughout their special day. Photos of their parents and grandparents lined the mantle of the fireplace during their ceremony, Lisa’s custom bouquet charms were designed with photos of her close relatives that had passed on. “The most special detail I had was lace from my mother’s wedding dress that surrounded a sparkly appliqué sewn onto my blush pink wedding dress,” says Lisa.
